Former uses of this site include a brewery, ice cream parlour and petrol station. It was originally purchased for a commercial development. The redundant petrol tanks were removed and the ground remediated.

During this process, a market review was carried out, and the demand for high density flats was growing. We were able to negotiate with Kirklees planners which resulted in consent for 40 units of 1, 2, and 3 bed apartments. Having obtained the consent, we brought on a joint venture partner, Gleeson Homes, who built out the £6 million scheme. It has been successfully let since completion.
